MATEO Project
MATEO (Matching Technologies and Opportunities) is a Regional Framework Operation (RFO) in the framework of the INTERREG IIIC, a European programme that addresses, on an interregional level, the problems related to stimulating technology-driven innovation, a key driver in the sustained regional economic development.

The main objective of MATEO is to develop and execute collaborative subprojects that increase regional innovation in Catalonia (Spain), Noord-Brabant (the Netherlands), Lombardy (Italy) and South-West Bohemia (Czech Republic), by creating new knowledge-intensive industrial activities and by stimulating the knowledge- intensiveness of existing ones, in eight thematic areas.

On the basis of the proposals received through a call for projects, 12 subprojects making a clear contribution to the goals of MATEO, were approved for co-financing in March 2006. These started their activities mid-2006 and will be running until June 2007.
